Dark Star Orchestra Announces 2018 Winter Tour

first_imgDark Star Orchestra wrapped up their fall tour earlier this month in Milwaukee, and have a second leg of dates ahead of them to close 2017. Today, the Grateful Dead-inspired ensemble announce a winter tour that will keep them on the road for most of the month of February. The winter tour will kick off February 8 in Seattle followed immediately by a pair in Portland, February 9-10. Catch DSO in Eugene and Ashland, OR before they make for the Golden State in Paradise on Valentine’s Day. They’ll return to San Francisco for a duo on February 16-17, then head over to their annual stop in Lake Tahoe on February 18. A SO-CAL and Vegas swing will wrap everything up when they take on Anaheim, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles before coming to a close in San Diego on February 24.The band is preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first-ever DSO show 11/11/97 when they show up in Albany, NY at the Palace Theater for what is expected to be a very special night. Police charge ex-Starbucks employee under ITE Law in ‘peeping tom’ case

Donald R. Boone age, 80

Boone, age 80, of Metamora, Indiana died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Brookville.Born October 7, 1936 in Rushville, Indiana he was the son of the late Harley & Alma (Swanson) Boone. On March 3, 1956 he and the former Emma Jean Jolliff were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death on March 1, 2002. Donald was a member of the Metamora Church of God. In his leisure time he enjoyed being outdoors, tinkering on lawnmowers, and spending time with his family.Survivors include five children; Donna Roberts, Robin (Tom) Simpson, Robert “Bob” Boone, Penny Metcalf, Billie Jo (Jeff) Brown all of Brookville, Indiana; a sister, Darlene (Steve) Finch of New Castle, Indiana; 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild..Besides his parents and wife, Emma Jean, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Stanley Roberts & Darrell Travis Maxie, two sons-in-law, Delbert Roberts & Jody Metcalf, as well as four brothers, Omer, Phillip, Walter, and Daryl Keith Boone.Family & friends may visit from 4 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.Pastor Wayne Ison of the Metamora Church of God, will officiate the Funeral Services on Friday, September 15, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Tommy Ison – of Oldenburg

first_imgTommy Ison, of Oldenburg, was born on June 11, 1953 in Hamilton, Ohio, a son to Everett D. and Ellen McVey Ison.  He worked at Visteon for many years and was a member of the Metamora Church of God.  Tommy enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially riding horses, hunting and fishing.  He also loved spending time with his family.  On February 14, 2020 at the age of 66, he passed away at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, surrounded by family.Those surviving who will cherish Tommy’s memory include his caregiver and companion, Andrea Ison; four sons, Tommy E. Ison (fiancé Emily) of Batesville, Chris (Jennifer) Ison of Oldenburg, Jeremy Ison of Greensburg and Ben Ison of Oldenburg; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne (Mary) Ison of Metamora; three sisters, Judy (Ron) Jolliff of Brookville, Donna Nichols of Connersville, and Sue (Herb) Halcomb of Metamora.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Ison, and one sister, Janie Ison.Friends may visit with the family on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Metamora Church of God, 20124 US Highway 52, Laurel.  Pastor Wayne Ison will officiate the service on Tuesday at 1p.m. at the church.  Burial will follow in Cupps Chapel Cemetery.To sign the online guestbook or to leave a personal condolence, please visit www.cookrosenberger.com.  The staff of Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home is honored to care for the family of Tommy Ison.last_img read more
